This is Peter and Maureen Scargill's Spanish website. We live in Galera in Andalusia (for clarity, that is the English spelling - Mid-Spain they spell it Andalucia and pronounce it "And-a-loo-thee-a").
We've had a home in Spain for more than 14 years and it is now our permanent base though we retain a small home in the UK.

And so it was that the heavens opened up
I could not believe this – fortunately I had the camera to hand. One minute there are vulture’s flying about waiting for people to collapse in the heat (ok, bit of an exaggeration – but there are vultures) and the next…. popped down to the local cafe this morning for a coffee, lovely day, a little cloud – then this dark cloud appeared out of no-where. We wandered back up and I went into an all-morning meeting…. came out of it and the water was BUCKETING down.
