A Day at the Seaside
Just spent a great day travelling around the seaside with Maureen. We set off relatively early for the two-hour+ drive down to the coast stopping at various places along the way.
First stop of course was part the way down for a motorway coffee and Tostada. Our next stop was San Juan, then onto Aguilas and though I’ve not shown here, a LOAD of smaller areas along the sea front – sadly you simply cannot stay by the sea all the way as there simply are no roads! In all our travels we’d never been to Mazarron before and for the city itself I could care if I go again – but the Puerto De Mazarron – well, that’s a different matter, very nice and we will be going back down there for another look around.
As always the weather was great down there but if I have a choice of a fresh water lake or the seafront – I’ll take the lake any day unless I’m in tourist mode – in which case it just HAS to be the beach. I’ll just leave a few pictures here.
Today, Maureen has had lots and lots of jobs including cleaning up a badly frozen up freezer (including the fan) and I’ve been fixing up some software issues (as well as dismantling the freezer). A shame to waste 34c outside but I made up for it with a visit to the (solar heated) hot tub later on. Tomorrow could be altogether more interesting as we’re off with friends to one of the local pools – forecast says, unsurprisingly, more of the same weather. It is approaching midnight and still 25c out there – very pleasant.
